Cold weather is finally here. Unfortunately the small deluge last night put a damper on my backyard remodel for today.

i want to make you feel special like the princess you are.
i want to be the smile on your face.
i want to be the warmth to your skin.
i want to be the beating of your heart.
YOU are the smile on my face.
YOU add the warmth to my skin.
YOU are the beating of my heart.

To see this makes me sad to live in Corpus Christi.

I wish I could go back to 2000 or 2001 when, as one large group, WE all had fun being single, going out, hanging out. Maybe I just need to move on and find new single friends who like to spend time in a large group and do the fun things I used to love.
Tonight I made the last late night trip from a great house in the Country Club area back home, down Staples, past the quick red lights on Holly & SPID; a right on McArdle, left on Airline and right down Alameda to my house. I can't recall the first time I made the trip over to Mike's house, though many of the first memories I can remember very well. Soon I may be making last trips to other houses as others close to me move on also. A point in time sad, but happy.
Of course Mike says that Florida is for good now; last time he left, 9 months later he returned. I'm glad to see him get out, move somewhere he wants to live, dates a girl thats great for him, and begin his life new in Florida. Its saddening to know that the guy that knows every back alley to GTA: San Andreas, that surfs the area beaches, invited me to bonfires last fall, and that stops into La Paletera when I'm there won't be around every day or night. Sara, one of the best girlfriends a guy could possible have will, too, be gone. A great new friend to all of us.
Changes aren't just happening there and change is bittersweet. Dustin and Mandy will be gone in the fall, off to San Marcos. Jacob will be back in Dallas, and Allison back in College Station until Christmas. Its just really hard to imagine we few left behind, and what possibly we could do.
I, for one, wish I had kept up with my school, and not played around. I should be a senior this year, but I am still far from getting everything complete.
Another major change in my life is Annabelle, my new niece. Born very late on June 25th, while my father and I were in Concan with the rest of the family.
Speaking of Concan, this year was a lean year: we were short my aunt Ann, Cousins Melanie & Kim (and her husband Brent and children Pierson and Lily) my sister Anika and my mom. It was a little disheartening to hear my grandfather state that this was his last year to come up. I hope that isn't so. I want to see him up there at least another 5 years. I can't even imagine what it will be like when he isn't right down the street from me, with sandwich fixin's always waiting for a guest to drop in. I have so much left I need to accomplish, and I want him to see it. I already had lost my grandmother before graduating high school, and getting my Eagle rank.
The chapter ended a while back, and I almost wish that it hadn't ended. I don't know what to do, or where to go. I am here, and I see the world moving around me.
Have a safe trip beginning in a few hours Mike & Sara.
Good Night everyone else, and you too be safe.

I'd have to say, that no matter what I may say in the midst of anger or sadness, I have some of the best friends anyone could ever find. Every last one of them is awesome, truly so.
and even many of the people I know remotely are awesome.
Keep up the good work!
